According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, emergency dispatchers received multiple calls around 4:26 PM reporting a serious two-vehicle collision near County Road 5800 East and 450 North. First responders arrived quickly and immediately began life-saving efforts, including CPR, in a desperate attempt to save Sandra’s life. Despite their heroic efforts and unwavering determination, she was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
The tragedy has left an unimaginable pain in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who knew her. Sandra Rochelle Beouy was more than a name in a news report — she was a daughter, a friend, a neighbor, and a cherished member of her community. Investigators say preliminary reports indicate that a driver traveling eastbound in a 2025 Jeep attempted to pass another vehicle in a no-passing zone before crossing the centerline and colliding head-on with a westbound 2025 Jeep. The two injured drivers involved in the collision were transported to Marion Health with serious injuries as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident.
