MIDDLEPORT, Pa. — A quiet Pennsylvania community is mourning the tragic loss of James Lake, 53, of Barnesville, who passed away following a motorcycle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Schuylkill County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, emergency crews were dispatched around 4:30 p.m. to the intersection of Mountain Road and Tumbling Run Road in Blythe Township after reports of a serious motorcycle accident. Investigators say Mr. Lake was traveling northbound when he entered a left-hand curve, lost control of his motorcycle, and overturned.

He was quickly transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Despite medical efforts to save him, James Lake later succumbed to his injuries.
