With heavy hearts, the Reeltown community and all who knew her are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Bailee Ward, whose life was tragically taken Friday night following a motorcycle crash in Elmore County, Alabama.

According to the Wetumpka Police Department, first responders were dispatched to the 4700 block of U.S. Highway 231 at approximately 11:05 p.m. after reports of a serious single-vehicle motorcycle accident. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they discovered two victims. Tragically, Bailee Ward was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another individual involved in the crash sustained serious injuries and was transported to a Montgomery hospital for treatment.

The devastating accident led to the closure of the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 231 for nearly two hours while investigators worked diligently to process the scene and determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As news of Bailee’s passing spread throughout the community, an overwhelming wave of sorrow followed. Reeltown High School, where Bailee was a graduate, shared a heartfelt message expressing grief over the tragic loss. Friends, former classmates, teachers, and loved ones have since taken to social media to share memories, prayers, and words of comfort for her family during this unimaginably painful time.
